ServeNext is a nonpartisan grassroots advocacy organization working towards the day when every American who wants to serve their country has the opportunity to do so. National service programs like AmeriCorps and Senior Corps are powerful strategies for addressing many of our nation’s most pressing challenges. Opportunities to serve need to be expanded.

To achieve this goal, ServeNext is building a grassroots constituency across America that is powerful, proactive, and permanent so that supporting national service is not a question for our elected leaders, but the expectation. This has never been more urgent with national service facing constant threats of elimination in Congress.

We do this by uniting, empowering, and mobilizing service stakeholders in strategic locations across the country. Together, they continuously engage members of Congress and other key decision makers about the value and impact of national service. Talking with members of Congress locally, in their states and districts, is the key to winning sustained support for the national service movement.

ServeNext’s grassroots organizing has three levels:

  1. ServeNext Organizers – For the first time in the history of the national service movement there will be a team of full-time Organizers advocating for its expansion. We are currently hiring nationwide for 8 positions to work from June to December.

  2. District Captains – In such a volatile political climate, we need to harness the passion of the national service community in as many places as possible. District Captains are volunteers who lead local advocacy efforts in their community at key moments throughout the year.

  3. Members – ServeNext members receive important updates on national service news and action alerts at critical times throughout the year.
