ServeNext uses the power of grassroots action to advance volunteerism, service, and AmeriCorps as strategies to tackle our most pressing social challenges and strengthen our democracy. We build permanent local Networks of service supporters to continuously engage members of Congress and other key decision makers about the value and impact of national service. Talking with members of Congress locally, in their states and districts, is the key to building the sustained support needed to ensure that more Americans have the opportunity to serve.

To achieve these goals ServeNext recruits local leaders in strategic locations across the country, to become ServeNext Organizers.

ServeNext Organizers are tasked with two main goals:

  1. Build a local ServeNext Network of service stakeholders and supporters: AmeriCorps alumni, educators involved with service-learning, Senior Corps members, service program leadership, recipients of service – anyone passionate about service.
  2. Mobilize the local ServeNext Network to engage members of Congress and other key decision makers and educate them about the value and impact of national and community service.
