Funding for national service is heading in the wrong direction. The budget for national service has been cut the last two years and funding for the 2013 fiscal year is going to present an even bigger challenge. Please sign our pledge and add your voice to send Congress a clear message: national service is an investment in the future of our country and must be funded.

Congress Reduces AmeriCorps Funding for 2012
In December 2011, Congress agreed on a FY 2012 budget for the country. The agreement includes $1.05 billion for CNCS (which includes AmeriCorps). This amount is roughly $25 million or 2.3% below FY11 levels. Winning 1.05 billion for CNCS in FY12 is a testament to all the district office visits, phone calls, op-eds, emails, rallies, and other hard work done by service supporters across the country. Thank you!
